On Wednesday, the Georgia House of Representatives voted against the passage of Senate Bill 164, legislation that would expand the ability of billboard companies to cut down trees along Georgia highways.
There was much pressure from the billboard industry to pass the bill, and the vote was close, at 74-89. Send a message to your Representative to tell them that you appreciate that they took action to keep Georgia's highways safe and scenic by voting NO on Senate Bill 164. It is especially important that Representatives who voted in opposition of this bill hear support for their actions because of the possibility that SB 164 could come up for a vote today and be passed on the last day of the 2009 legislative session.
